The new website

Well, it's not done yet, but it's come a hell of a long way to get here. I now have my site's engine working pretty much how I was hoping to get it working. Still some things I need to tweak here and there, but for the most part I think I've ironed the really big bugs out. I'm being vague I know, but it's late and I don't feel like posting a whole bunch of details just now. Suffice to say that I think my website should be a little more solid than it's been in the past.

Didn't you know?

Just a quick note.  "Propecia" is now a dirty word.  It'll automatically blacklist your comment (I won't even see it).

Floodmylife.net gets reconstructive surgery

I might be another one of those things where I'm just flying by the seat of my pants and I'll be regretting it in a week, but I've updated my main site to wiki software, and I'm putting up a bunch of content.   The old wiki is still located at wiki.floodmylife.net but I'll phase it out at some point (currently some friends are using it).

I'm planning on integrating my forums, blog, and homepage to use the same authentication information and have a consistent experience throughout the site.  It's going to take a little while for that to happen though.  In the meantime they'll all have their

Updating a bit

I updated my theme a bit, I'm probably gonna do some more changes as the days go on.  We'll see.

Now with Bad Behavior

I've been getting..... a stupid amount of blogspam.  The last couple of days I had 50-60 spam comments posted each day.  It was crazy, so I installed a mod called Bad Behavior to help deal with the problem.  If for some reason you have troubles posting, please please please email me and let me know.  I hate filters, but it has become necessary.

Forums

I went ahead and added myself some forums to floodmylife.net.  You can find them at their new location http://forums.floodmylife.net.  The new forums are powered by Vanilla and are pretty slim and easy (didn't want anything fancy).  I did a little bit of tie-in with WP so that my new blog posts automatically get their own heading.  I might turn off WP comments at some point and just switch over to the forums for comments and the like, but i'm not 100% happy with how that works yet.

Yes, I know, you dont want ano

Summer is here

The little brother is home from school, theres a new kitten in our house, Im about to start 200 tabletop games.  All of these things point to summer.

FYI, Im doing some maintinence on my floodmylife.net email account, use my neuromancers.org account for the next couple of days.

Floodmylife updated

At long last, site updates!

  • Flog is dead.  My blog, "It Helps to Say...", now lives at blog.floodmylife.net
  • Fotos is dead.  There is no planned replacement.  I may use picasaweb at some point, but in the meantime I will simply upload photos as I desire them to be viewed.
  • The Wiki lives.  I started a wiki at wiki.floodmylife.net.  My current plans are to use it for documenting tabletop games that I'm running.  Anyone can sign up and contribute to it (its been interesting learnin

The world has gone crazy

This actually happened.  Poor Matt.  I hope a good lawyer gets ahold of him.

So.  Today in some spare time I loaded up a wiki.  I was amazed to find the same theme that I just added to my blog.  So it looks like one site, but really it isn't.  I started putting Isle of El up, maybe those of you who were part of it at one time or another could sign in and update what you know/remember.  I don't know that I'll do much more than put

Dusk settles...

As you have probably noticed, I changed my theme.  I felt it was time, and I was getting a little irkd by how small the text was on my old theme.  I also changed the plugins on my site a little.  This shouldn't have any effect on you guys (and if it does I'd like to know about it).  It's called dusk and theres a link waaay down there at the bottom of the page if you want to know more about the person who made it.

Got to rock out on the Wii for a good deal of time last night.  After playing quite a bit of zelda I have to say that my big complaint is that it doesn't have as much freedom as Li
